Was up and ready for another 7:30am breakfast which lasted
for 1.5 hours today; more talking!
Today I went, with Jane, to SECC for a special meeting on emergency pharmacy resource management. I have been made OIC of this project and we needed to ask the emergency pharmacists to take an active and leading role in identifying resource documents that make life easier for a pharmacist responding to emergencies. My job will be to collate this information and publish it on the MEPS members-only webpage.
We only realised this morning that lunch is included in the Congress, so we stayed for lunch. We got our paper bag, filled it up with a sandwich, salad, piece of fruit and a bottle of water. You had a choice of three sandwiches, two salads and various fruit. Previously you just got whatever was in the bag you chose. This is a much better way of doing lunch.
After lunch I met with FIP Communications Manager to discuss options for MEPS webpages. Told her what we were doing and how we wanted to manage the pages but given the move to the new-look website was not sure if it would work. Lin-Nam assured me that we could certainly give it a go. So now the fun starts.
I headed home for an LLD before dressing up to attend the Taiwan Reception on behalf of the MEPS President. Sylvain was attending the French Reception with Jane so nominated Richard, Regis, Mel and me to attend on his behalf. The Taiwan Reception is always good to attend as it short and sharp.
The four of us caught a cab to the MEPS Meet and Greet at the Royal Highland Fusiliers Museum. What a gem of a place this is. Unfortunately, being the MEPS Communications Officer, I have to mingle and talk so could not really peruse too much of the museum which was a shame. Ellie had done a wonderful job of organising the venue and the event, and the museum staff did a fantastic job of keeping 50+ people fed and watered. I had remembered my selfie stick this time so managed to get a few good shots.
